THE MOST MODERN COTTON-JACQUARD WEAVING MILL IN SWITZERLAND
The WR Weberei Russikon produces high-quality cotton fabric for the West-African clothing market and is, as one of the largest employers in Russikon, important for the region. In the beautiful Zürcher Oberland, we are proudly continuing a long tradition, while the joy in production remains palpable in each of our employees even after many years.
PRODUCTION
Our quality and highest efficiency are ensured not only by our highly qualified employees, but also by the modern machine fleet with 96 jacquard rapier looms and three inspection tables in goods inspection. As a purely contract weaving mill, we produce exclusively grey fabric for our parent company Getzner Textil AG in Bludenz (Austria). The raw materials are also delivered by Getzner Textil AG. A seamless process is supported by our modern IT infrastructure on all levels, which makes annual production of around 3.5 million running metres of grey fabric possible.
HISTORY
The history of today's WR Weberei Russikon AG began in 1890 with the founding of the Weber & Bosshard company. Initially, the company produced using a publishing system, which was dissolved in 1901 through the construction of the production facility in Russikon, then with 120 looms. In the subsequent years, mergers and acquisitions moulded the history of the company, until in 1995 it finally became independent under the name WR Weberei Russikon AG. Only one year later Getzner Textil AG in Bludenz took over the majority of the shares. Since 2007 it has been the 100 percent sole owner, which makes WR Weberei Russikon AG a full subsidiary. Since the takeover, there has been continual investment in the modernization of the company and production has been adapted to economic requirements. We are proud to continue the company's tradition with success.

CURRENT NEWS
PROJECT WILDFLOWER MEADOW
There was some unused green space on our company premises, on which only various grasses grew. To lend these areas more added value, this year we have worked in cooperation with the gardeners of the Palm Foundation in Pfäffikon to start planting a wild flower meadow. In addition, the carpenters of the Palme Foundation have built a wild bee house for us, which is now in the middle of our project meadow. Now we just have to have patience and provide regular care. We hope to be able to report on beautiful colourful blossoms as soon as next year.
