Apprentices invited to the reception

The traditional New Year's reception for apprentices at Getzner Textil took place at the end of January. Parents and guests of honour were invited to a ‘magical evening’ - including a magic show and a three-course meal.

Fitting the theme of the evening, Perrine Getzner, Head of Personnel Development, also highlighted the magic that the event held: “The special thing today is our apprentices, who, beyond their technical training, are showcasing their skills and making this evening possible.” Indeed, in the kitchen, in service, and in preparation, the apprentices were the main players. Under the guidance of Daniel Mostögl, head chef at Restaurant Löwen, the trainees spent several hours cutting turnips for the soup, shaping pretzel dumplings, and whipping egg whites for dessert. The result was both visually and gastronomically impressive.

This collaboration with Bianca and Harald Tomaselli from Restaurant Löwen took place for the first time this year – and if head chef Daniel has his way, it won’t be the last: “Working with the young people was a completely new experience for me, and I really enjoyed it.”

Magic and conviviality

Magician Gerhard Dutschke, also known as Mirakuli, ensured a truly magical evening, astonishing the audience with his tricks while also providing plenty of laughter. Among the guests were Regional Councillor Christian Gantner, City Councillor Cenk Dogan, and representatives from vocational and polytechnic schools.

CEO Roland Comploj took the opportunity to give the attending parents a review of the past year and an outlook on the year ahead. In addition to the trainers, the evening was also enjoyed by Hannes Tschofen (CTO), Markus Comploj (Managing Director of Getzner Holding), Tobias König (Managing Director of BU Africa), Johannes Berger (Head of HR), and Marketing Director Ulrike Kraler.
