With heart and humour: Ersan's path at TFE Textil

The past year was not an easy one for Ersan. He spent five months on sick leave after an accident at work. However, with his positive attitude and sense of humour, he has become an integral part of the TFE Textil GmbH team.

Today, Ersan's everyday life is still dominated by therapy and visits to the doctor; he has not been able to use his left arm to its full extent since the accident. Ersan now works mainly in the office, schedules orders in production and organises shifts. In the shearing shop, where he previously spent around half of his working hours, Ersan is responsible for quality control, among other things. To ensure that the machines in production run around the clock, the team also has to run smoothly: ‘Sometimes it's a challenge to maintain a three-shift operation with just six people. I'm glad that we all stick together and can rely on each other. We have a good working atmosphere. I always say: We are a family business,’ says Ersan with conviction. And not just because his brother Ersin also works at TFE GmbH.

At home in Ludesch, it is also important to Ersan to be part of the community. He was active in the youth and culture committee of the local council for a long time. His children's hobby eventually became his own: ‘I was often on the football pitch and at some point the coach asked me if I would like to coach children too,’ recalls Ersan. Today, he is the coach of the U11 team and is in the hall with the children twice a week. ‘For me, fun always comes first - whether in my free time or at work. If I don't enjoy something, I don't do it,’ says Ersan.
