Getzner Textil hosted an apprentice information day
For one afternoon, Getzner Textil opened its training workshops to around 70 interested young people and their parents and presented the training opportunities in six apprenticeships.
During a tour led by apprentices, the visitors learnt everything worth knowing about the family business and had the opportunity to ask questions. ‘Few people realise beforehand that a textile company also trains apprentices in metal technology, for example. At the Apprentice Info Day, the young people experience everyday working life at Getzner up close and gain an insight into the training workshops,’ explains Perrine Getzner, Head of Personnel Development. ‘We are delighted with the interest and hope that we may soon be able to welcome these young people as the skilled workers of tomorrow.’

Anyone who missed the apprenticeship information day can find out more about an apprenticeship at Getzner Textil online. At lehre.getzner.at, a video bot provides answers to (almost) all questions and a 360-degree tour enables a virtual visit to the training workshops. For the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025, training is offered in six apprenticeships: Electrical engineering, textile technology, laboratory technology, operational logistics, metal technology and textile chemistry.
