For one afternoon, Getzner Textil opened its training workshops to around 70 interested young people and their parents and presented the training opportunities in six apprenticeships.

Margot Pircher started her professional journey at Getzner Textil straight after secondary school and completed an apprenticeship as an office administrator. She then managed the warehouse and transport logistics department (then the invoicing department), which was of course much smaller at the time than it is today. The company has grown considerably since Margot started her career. However, what she still loves about the company is the family atmosphere.

Ankur Jaiswal moved from India to Vorarlberg over ten years ago. Today, he works in quality assurance at Getzner Textil and tells his personal story, which has a lot to do with appreciation and opportunities for development. How did it all begin? When Aliya Bitschnau is at work, sparks tend to fly. Literally. She was practically born with a talent for mechanical engineering from her father - and at Getzner Textil, her dream job came with a great working atmosphere and opportunities for development on top.

When the block school is about to start for the lab technician apprentices, minds are working hard in the study room. For two weeks, the apprentices prepare intensively for school. Everyone agrees: "Chemistry is really intense."

The Austrian family-owned company Getzner Textil is hard at work exploring the possibilities of the circular economy in the textile industry. Initial successes are currently being achieved in the recycling of textile waste: Polyester waste is turned into yarn, which can ultimately be used to re-produce the original product.  

At "Duelli Hemden" in Satteins, customised shirts have been made from Getzner Textil fabrics for a hundred years. Owner Peter Duelli is the third generation to run the bespoke tailoring business. For him, two things are of particular value in the collaboration: value creation in the region and mutual appreciation.

Getzner Textil was honoured with the national "Family and Career" award, making it the most family-friendly company in Austria in the category "Private commercial enterprises with 101 or more employees". 

The company childcare centres ‘Getzners Buntstiftle’ and ‘Getzners Buntspechtle’ were awarded the MINT seal of approval for their special support programme.

To mark its 50th anniversary, the Rotary Club of Bludenz called on young people to actively help shape the future with ideas relating to the use of artificial intelligence. One winner of this Digital Future Award is Naroa Mathis, who is completing her training as a textile designer at Getzner Textil.

The Getzner Textil Group recorded sales of around €490 million in the past fiscal year, representing an increase of around ten per cent compared to 2022. The family-run company also received numerous awards in the areas of family friendliness and sustainability.

Over the past two weeks, a small sensation has been observed at our Getzners Buntspechtle nature childcare centre: Two blackbirds were sitting in their nest and caring for their offspring: three little blackbird chicks.
